Describe your activity, the size of the company and the areas where disputes may arise: contracts with customers or suppliers, employment law, commercial leases, debt collection, road traffic. State any existing cover and the start date you have in mind.

Compare the legal areas covered, maximum amounts per case, deductibles, waiting periods and free choice of lawyer. Ask about exclusions, in particular contract law, intellectual property and disputes between partners.

Is debt collection included in business legal protection?

Some policies include debt collection or offer it as an option, often with conditions on amount and dispute status. State the nature of your receivables and usual partners; the insurer or broker will tell you what the proposed cover takes on.
