Cookie policy

This page describes exactly which cookies e-devis.ch sets. There are few of them, all technical, and none serves advertising or audience measurement.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that the site asks your browser to keep and that the browser sends back on the next visit. It serves to remember a preference or an open session. Alongside cookies, the browser has a local store, described further down, whose content is never sent back to the site.
2. The cookies set by e-devis.ch
Here is the complete list; the site sets no others. On a secure connection the names of the last three are prefixed with “__Secure-” or “__Host-”: that is a browser security convention, the role of the cookie does not change.
| Name | Purpose and duration |
|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Remembers the language in which you read the site. It holds nothing but a language code, for example “en”. It disappears when the browser is closed. |
| next-auth.csrf-token | Protects forms against a submission triggered from another site. It is set from the first page, even without an account, because the sign-in form is reachable everywhere. It disappears when the browser is closed. |
| next-auth.callback-url | Remembers the page you return to after signing in. It disappears when the browser is closed. |
| next-auth.session-token | Keeps you signed in to your company account or to the administration area. It is set only after a successful sign-in. It lasts thirty days, extended while you stay active, and it is deleted when you sign out. |
3. Why no banner appears
All the cookies above are strictly necessary: without them the language does not hold, signing in does not work and forms are no longer protected. A strictly necessary cookie does not require the person’s consent. As the site sets no others, neither for audience measurement nor for advertising, no banner is needed and we display none. Were a tracker ever to be added, it would have to be asked of you beforehand, and this page would be changed accordingly.
4. What the site does not use
No audience measurement tool, Google Analytics included. No advertising pixel, no ad network, no retargeting. No social network button that would follow you. No typeface loaded from an outside server: it is served from the site. No map, no video and no image loaded from a third-party domain on the public pages. The consequence: when you browse e-devis.ch, your browser contacts no company other than ours and its host.
5. The browser’s local store
The site also uses the local store, which resembles a cookie but is never sent to the server: it stays on your device. Two values are written there. “preferredLanguage” remembers the language you chose, like the language cookie. “edevis-install-banner-closed” remembers the date on which you closed the offer to add the site icon to your phone, so that it is not shown again for thirty days. Both values are cleared by deleting site data in your browser.
6. Online payment
When a company tops up its balance or pays for access, it is redirected to the Stripe payment page, hosted by Stripe. The cookies set at that point are Stripe’s and fall under its own policy. No card number is entered on e-devis.ch. A client who submits a quote request never goes through that page: the request is free.
7. Managing or deleting these cookies
Your browser lets you inspect, block or delete cookies and the local store, site by site. Two consequences worth knowing: deleting them signs you out of your account, and the site shows the default language again until you choose one. Blocking cookies entirely makes signing in to a company account impossible; browsing the site and submitting a request remain possible.
8. Questions
For any question about these cookies or about your data, write to contact@e-devis.ch or use the Contact form. The processing of your personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
